Prosolvia is one of the world’s largest Simulation development companies, providing their customers with the tools and platforms they need to more effectively understand and manage their businesses.

The Challenge

In a push to reduce time to market and improve their ROI, The Company was looking at ways to efficiently augment their internal product development and testing capabilities, obtain greater flexibility and gain access to specialized skills.

They saw establishing a deeper relationship with an outsourcing partner as the most effective way to realize these goals.

The Solution

TriTech has developed numerous software solutions that had met with market success. Engineering mindset and technological excellence enabled TriTech to become key engineering services provider to our client over the years, with total development staff quickly growing to more than a hundred engineers.

The key to taking on this more substantial role was the establishment of a dedicated Offshore Development Center that could support the entire Software Development Lifecycle for the Company, including:

  • Development of design and architecture for next generation solutions and products
  • Facilitating transition of existing extensive software code family to a Service Oriented Architecture
  • Implementing numerous product extensions in close cooperation with The Company’s own distributed development team
  • Establishment of ongoing maintenance procedures to provide Level 2 and 3 support
  • Development of infrastructure components and tools required by global product teams
  • End-to-end testing of products including installation and deployment, configuration, functional, acceptance, localization, performance and automation testing
  • Support for global deployments via close cooperation with Professional Services team

The Results

Shortly after establishing dedicated development center with TriTech, our client was able to:

  • Fully transition engineering and support for 15 product platforms to TriTech
  • Cut release time to 7 months for major and just under 3 months for maintenance releases
  • Achieve significant cost savings while improving overall development efficiency
  • the ODC has been set up, TriTech has successfully met every major and interim release date for every product line
